The evening will open with an introduction to the Chicago Booth’s Sokolov EMBA program, known for its rigorous, data-driven approach to leadership and decision making.
Building on this, Professor Emir Kamenica will introduce the fast growing subfield of economics known as Information Design, which studies how the way we reveal (or withhold) information can transform behavior and outcomes. Drawing on his transformative research with powerful real-world applications, he will explore how strategic information deployment can lower the cost of capital, boost employee motivation, and even help reduce traffic congestion in modern cities.
For leaders and executives, the implications are far reaching. From credit ratings and performance reviews to navigation platforms and digital decision tools, this talk highlights how thoughtful information design can create sharper incentives, better forecasts, and more efficient systems – skills increasingly essential for the next generation of executive decision makers.
A Q&A and networking session will then follow to let participants mingle with our students and alumni, and explore how the Sokolov Executive MBA transformed their personal and professional transformations.
