Climate change, global uncertainty, and rising regional conflict all threaten economic opportunity in emerging markets and in Sub-Saharan Africa in particular. But this diverse region - rich in natural resources and human capital – has seen significant economic progress over the past two decades with even greater potential for growth moving forward.

What are some of the most promising opportunities to propel social and economic impact in Africa? Are there lessons that can be applied in other developing economies?

Join Chicago Booth Professor Pradeep Chintagunta at the Rothman Campus in London on May 1 to learn about his research focused on the role of marketing in economic development, and how marketing practices can impact small businesses and entrepreneurial enterprises. Following his research talk, Professor Chintagunta will moderate a discussion with Violet Busingye, Grow Movement, Kate Kuper, Bateleur Partners, and Chris Isaac, AgDevCo on the opportunities and challenges investing in growth and impact in Africa from Europe and beyond.
