Beyond the Annual Report: Understanding the Goals and Actions of Corporations Over Time

To celebrate Chicago Booth’s 125th anniversary, please join us in London for “Beyond the Annual Report,” an event with Booth global faculty in residence (FiR) and former governor of the Reserve Bank of India, Raghuram Rajan.

In his address, Professor Rajan will explore the ways in which corporate goal setting has changed over the years and will offer insights into how CEOs choose which goals to emphasize. He will then connect these stated goals with the actions pursued (or not) by corporate leaders. For instance, why do firms announce environmental goals, and do these have effects on their behavior?

As the school’s inaugural global faculty in residence, Professor Rajan will be based at Booth’s Robert Rothman, ’77, London Campus for spring quarter 2023. The Global Faculty in Residence Program provides increased access to the school’s world-class thought leadership through activities and events where attendees gain new knowledge, broaden their network, and engage with the global Booth community.
