Lessons from the Global Financial Crisis:  Could it Happen Again?

2008 marked the banking collapse and the start of the global financial crisis. The global economy avoided a second Great Depression and recovered, but growth is slowing and financial fragilities still exist.  As a governor of the US Federal Reserve from 2006 to 2009, Chicago Booth Professor Randall Kroszner took a lead role in developing US responses to the financial crisis. What lessons have we learned since then? How has the crisis influenced today's global regulatory and risk environments? Could it happen again? Join Chicago Booth in Nur-Sultan as Professor Kroszner shares his thoughts and provides an outlook on the global economy.

And as always, please feel free to bring a colleague who may find value in the Chicago Booth experience. Prospective students & guests should register here.

Thank you once again for helping to build the brand we all share.
