Stevens Doctoral Program Application Hardship Request

This form allows applicants who are experiencing difficulties submitting application materials to the Stevens Doctoral Program because of a widespread disruption, which affects access to your means of completing or submitting an application requirement. In case of such a disruption, we may allow you to submit your application without one or more required application materials (e.g. TOEFL/IELTS), although it does not waive the requirement(s). You will still be required to submit the missing item(s) as soon as circumstances allow, but before an offer of admission can be made.

This form is not to be used for application fee waiver requests; those must be submitted within the Stevens Doctoral Program application. Fee waiver requests submitted via this form will not be acknowledged or accepted.

Please note that an approval of this request, including temporary waiver of a requirement to allow you to submit your application, does not imply that the requirement(s) will be waived for the purposes of admissions decisions.

Guidelines:

1. You must have started an application to the Stevens Doctoral PhD Program before submitting this form. Requests will not be processed without a detailed explanation of the widespread disruption affecting your ability to provide the application requirement.

2. This form may not be used to request an extension of the Chicago Booth PhD application deadline. The application deadline is December 15, 2023 and all applications must be submitted by 11:59 pm PST in order to be considered.

3. This form is not to be used to request a TOEFL/IELTS waiver for applicants who are already eligible for a permanent TOEFL/IELTS waiver according to our policy. If you are already eligible for the waiver per our policy, we will waive the requirement when you submit your Stevens Doctoral Program application, we reach it for processing, and confirm your eligibility.

4. We do not approve hardship requests that are related to personal or family circumstances. Only hardships connected to a natural disaster or other widespread disruption of services, such as access to the internet or electricity, or affecting schools and testing centers' ability to operate and provide services such as transcripts or score reports, qualify for assistance with submission.
