Netflix is the world's leading Internet television network with over 83 million members in over 190 countries enjoying more than 125 million hours of TV shows and movies per day, including original series, documentaries and feature films.

The Company started in 1997 as a DVD-rental-by-mail firm and competed with Blockbuster in the US. In 2007, Netflix began streaming in the US in 2007, and internationally in 2010. In 2013, Netflix debuted its first original series, House of Cards. In 2016, nearly 20 years after start of the company, Netflix launched in over 130 new countries.

David Wells has served as the CFO of Netflix since 2010. From August 2008 to December 2010, he served as VP of Financial Planning & Analysis and Director of Operations Planning from March 2004 to August 2008. Prior to joining Netflix, David served in progressive roles at Deloitte Consulting from August 1998 to March 2004. In addition to his financial responsibilities, he oversees a number of operating areas as well as including customer service, real estate, and employee technology.

Netflix located it's European headquarters in Amsterdam in December of 2013 and has steadily grown. David and his family moved to Amsterdam in July 2015 as part of a 2 year office rotation which is why he is able to join us in London. 

David holds an MBA and MPP from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from the University of Virginia.
